Seal of the Illinois Supreme Court

On September 23, 2016 the Illinois Supreme Court struck down a statute that reduced the number of jurors in a civil trial from 12 to 6, finding it unconstitutional.  The Court further ruled that another portion of the statute, which would have raised jury pay, could not stand. David A. Axelrod & Associates, P.C. argued in favor of the statute before the Illinois Supreme Court.
